Union County Pride Inc. is the foremost organization working to promote a thriving LGBTQ community in Union County, North Carolina.
The questions and answers, if received in time, will be published verbatim at www.unioncountypride.org. If you do not respond, the publication will state Did Not Respond.
Please submit your responses through the online survey. As a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, we cannot support or oppose any candidate for public office.
We hope that you will take this opportunity to communicate your views on how you as a political candidate will deal with policy and investments regarding LGBTQ+ and their families.

Any registered voter in Union County can request a mail-in ballot by completing a State Absentee Ballot Request Form and mailing to Union County Board of Elections, P.O. Box 1106, Monroe, NC 28111 or through the North Carolina State Board of Elections' absentee ballot request portal. Absentee by mail voting will be available for the 2022 elections.
No special circumstance or reason is needed to vote a mail-in absentee ballot in North Carolina.

2023 Municipal Elections Early Voting Details
You can vote at any early voting location and may update your name or address if needed. You may also register at early voting sites but must attest to your eligibility and prove residence by showing:
Within two business days of registration, the county board of elections will verify the driver's license or social security number, update the voter registration database, search for possible duplicate registrations, and verify the registrant's address by mail. The registrant's vote will be counted unless the county board of elections determines that he or she is not qualified to vote.
Voting sites will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. You can find your Election Day voting location by entering your address in the Polling Place Search tool. You must go to your assigned voting location to vote on Election Day. If you vote in another location, you may be asked to vote a provisional ballot. Election Day for the general election is Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
