Union County Pride is committed to your safety.
We have put a number of safety precautions in place to ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience at pride. We have implemented the following to make sure that we have the safest event possible.
- First aid is available on site if needed
- We have coordinated with local public safety teams
- Our team and volunteers are trained to respond
We also ask you to do you part to keep you and your friends safe.
Stay Hydrated: Heat exhaustion and dehydration are serious concerns at this time of year. Drink lots of water, wear sunscreen, and take breaks in the shade. There are plenty of cool places!
Stay together: We want you to bring your family and friends with you to pride to celebrate. The more the merrier and safer.
Stay Alert: As with all large-scale events, be mindful of your surroundings. If you see something suspicious or out of place, immediately say something to the nearest law enforcement officer or event staffer.
Union County Pride’s Public Safety Preparations:
Union County Pride’s board, staff, and event volunteers have your safety and wellness as our top priority.
Union County EMS is on standby and off-duty Monroe Police officers are on sight to help with emergencies along with a first aid center located at the shelter with the bathrooms.
We Have a Plan: The Union County Pride Board of Directors, staff, and event staff have a plan for crisis and emergency preparedness. We have also met with and coordinated our crisis and emergency plans with all local public safety agencies.
COVID and Monkeypox Precautions:
We are following CDC and local health guidelines: At this time, masks are not required for outdoor events. We will have masks and hand sanitizer available for those who need these precautions.
We will change our plans if necessary: If CDC or local health guidelines change, we immediately change our precautions to come into line with those guidelines.
Do not attend the Union County Pride events if you are not well and have any symptoms.
